Served in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve during WW1 and was killed in a collision while serving on H.M.S. "Negro." He was serving as a Surgeon Probationer when he died on the 21 of December 1916. He was 19 years old when he was killed. He was the Son of George and Janet Swirles Allardyce, of Advie, Grosvenor Road, Dublin. Educated at St. Andrew's College and Trinity College Dublin.
