There are several international veterans organizations which issue medals, Irish veterans of United Nations and N.A.T.O. missions are entitled to wear theses. These medals are sold to the veterans and the medals are not worn on the uniform of a serving soldier. Some of these International Veterans Organization vet the purchaser and proof of service must be provided or the purchaser must be a member of a veteranís organization in his own country.

International Peace Prize Medal

Recipient must have taken part in a UN mission before the Nobel Peace Prize Award on December 10th 1988. Special permission was given by The Nobel Institute of Norway to reproduce the original certificate which is supplied with the medal, the certificate will include the medal recipientís name and service number.
Irish United Nations Veterans Association Medal
qualify to wear this medal the veteran must have been a member of the Irish United Nations Veterans Association (IUNVA) for at least a year. The medal, which is purchased by the veteran from the IUNVA, comes with a certificate which contains the name and rank of the veteran. Each of these medals is individually numbered.
50th Anniversary of the United Nations Medal

Issued to military personnel who took part in a UN mission during the 50 years of the existence of the UN. Medal supplied with a certificate containing the name and rank of the recipient.
The International Veterans Millennium Medal
Issued to veterans who took part in an international UN mandated mission in the past millennium. Issued with a certificate containing the recipients name and rank.
International Volunteer Foreign Service Medal

Issued to veterans who served overseas on a N.A.T.O. or U.N. or European Union mission. Medal was issued with a certificate containing the veterans name and rank.
